Efficient. Heavy-Duty. Built for Real Work.

Streamline your cattle handling with the C1000 Cattle Handling System—Lakeland’s all-in-one solution designed to move livestock safely, smoothly, and with less stress on both animal and handler.

This system includes our Easy Catch Squeeze Chute, an 8.5 ft adjustable alley section, and a cornerless crowding tub, all connected by heavy-duty cattle panels and gates built for serious, daily use. The design minimizes sharp angles and bottlenecks, promoting calm, consistent cattle flow while improving safety and efficiency across your operation.

The C1000 cattle handling system is a compact, efficient solution designed to improve cattle flow and reduce stress during livestock processing. Built with durable cattle handling equipment, the system combines a crowding tub cattle design, cattle alley, corral panels, and a reliable cattle squeeze chute.

As a result, producers can move cattle smoothly through the system while maintaining control and safety for both animals and handlers.

A Complete Cattle Handling System for Everyday Operations

Handling cattle becomes much easier when the system works with natural cattle movement. The C1000 cattle handling system guides livestock from the holding area into a crowding tub cattle section, then through a cattle alley and into the squeeze chute.

Because the system follows proven livestock handling principles, cattle tend to move forward naturally through the working area. In turn, ranchers spend less time pushing cattle and more time getting the job done.

Most cattle handling facilities rely on a crowding area, working alley, and squeeze chute to safely move and restrain livestock for procedures like tagging or vaccinations.

Cornerless Crowding Tub Improves Cattle Flow

The crowding tub cattle section is designed to encourage natural livestock movement.

Instead of sharp corners where cattle hesitate, the curved design funnels animals smoothly toward the cattle alley. Consequently, cattle are less likely to turn around or balk while entering the working area.

A sweep tub works by gradually guiding cattle into the alley and squeeze chute using controlled pressure from the handler.

Key benefits include:

  • Better cattle flow into the system

  • Reduced stress on livestock

  • Safer handling conditions for operators

Adjustable Cattle Alley for Controlled Movement

The adjustable cattle alley keeps animals moving in a single direction toward the cattle squeeze chute.

Because the alley narrows the animal’s path, cattle cannot turn around once they enter the system. As a result, livestock move forward more predictably while handlers maintain better control.

Additionally, adjustable alley sections allow the system to accommodate different cattle sizes throughout the season.

At the end of the system sits the cattle squeeze chute — the most important working component of many cattle handling systems.

A squeeze chute safely restrains cattle during essential procedures such as:

  • vaccinations

  • tagging

  • pregnancy checking

  • veterinary treatments

The squeeze mechanism gently secures the animal while limiting sudden movement, which improves safety for both cattle and handlers.

Built with Durable Corral Panels and Gates

Strong corral panel construction ensures the entire cattle handling system remains stable under pressure.

Lakeland’s heavy-duty panels and gates allow producers to create holding pens and sorting areas that connect seamlessly with the cattle alley and crowding tub cattle section.

Because the system uses modular cattle handling equipment, producers can also expand or adjust their layout as herd sizes change.

Why Ranchers Choose the C1000 Cattle Handling System

For many cow-calf operations, the C1000 offers a practical balance between capacity and efficiency.

Key advantages include:

  • Complete cattle handling system in one package

  • Efficient cattle alley and crowding tub cattle flow

  • Durable cattle handling equipment built for daily use

  • Reliable cattle squeeze chute for safe restraint

  • Flexible corral panel layout options

As a result, ranchers can process cattle faster while reducing labor and stress on the herd.

Ideal for Small to Mid-Size Herds

The C1000 cattle handling system works well for producers who need reliable cattle handling equipment without building a permanent facility.

Whether you are vaccinating calves, sorting cattle, or running animals through the squeeze chute, the system provides a consistent workflow from the crowding tub cattle area through the cattle alley and into the chute.

FAQ

What is the C1000 Cattle Handling System?

The C1000 system is a compact yet complete cattle handling solution built by Lakeland, combining key components like a squeeze chute, 8.5-ft cornerless crowding tub, and adjustable alley for efficient, daily handling work.

Which herd size is the C1000 best suited for?

The C1000 targets smaller to mid-sized ranch operations seeking professional-grade handling without the scale of large installations - ideal for upgrading existing facilities or setups with anywhere from 5 to a dozen or so head.

What are the primary components included in the C1000?

Included in the system: a heavy-duty Easy Catch squeeze chute, an 8.5-ft cornerless crowding tub, a 17-ft adjustable alley (or 8.5-ft variant depending on configuration), durable corral panels, a rolling door, and a man gate.

How does the cornerless tub design benefit cattle flow?

The fully-sheeted, cornerless tub eliminates sharp turns and visual distractions, encouraging cattle to move forward smoothly, reducing balking and bruising while improving overall handling efficiency.

What safety features are built into the C1000 system?

Key safety features include slam-latch gates, rolling doors for secure entry/exit, drop-down access panels for handlers, and a heavy-gauge powder-coated steel frame to support safe animal flow and operator movement.

What materials and finish does the C1000 use for durability?

The system is constructed of heavy-duty Canadian steel with a powder-coated finish for corrosion resistance, designed to stand up to the rigours of daily ranch use and provide long-term performance.

How much space does the C1000 footprint require?

With components including a 17-ft adjustable alley and 8.5-ft crowding tub, the system is engineered for compact, efficient layouts that fit well in tighter yards or smaller operations while still delivering premium flow.

Can the C1000 system be expanded or upgraded later?

Yes - the modular design of the C1000 allows expansion through additional corral panels, gates or accessories, meaning as your herd or operation grows, so can your handling system.

What kind of maintenance does the C1000 require?

Maintenance is minimal: regular greasing of hinges and gates, periodic inspection of wear parts, and clearing debris help keep the system running smoothly and reliably for years with the heavy-duty build in place.

How does the C1000 provide value compared to similar systems?

The C1000 offers premium features-flow-optimized design, safety-centric construction, and a modular layout-at an entry-friendly level, making it a smart investment for ranchers seeking long-term performance without overspending.

  1. Meghan Zimmerman

Ross is excellent to deal with, had a great experience at lakeland. Bought a few years ago and they still call and check up on me and the equipment. Lovely people to buy from!

  2. HL-Wainwright, AB

I have been able to use the tub and squeeze chute over the last few months. It has worked well for me. I used a light lithium grease on hinged and moveable parts, and then even in cold minus 20+ weather there was nothing that seized up, this had been one of my worries. I like the sliding doors and the overhead lever to assist in closing the head gate are particularly nice features.
The tub is smaller than the one I have used in the past at my neighbors, I am having to adjust my expectations in the number that can be put in. For my herd of 20 – 30 cows it will be fine.

Overall I am quite happy with the product.
