I wasn’t sure about the Riomax there for a while, but after calving here, we’re gonna go back on it, I think. We’ve got a 153 to calve, but we basically, in about four weeks or four and a half weeks, we’ve calved out a 147 of them, so I’ve got 6 left! never had results like that before.

That first year on Riomax we had a 5% increase in breed up, we were typically seeing 8% open and since have been around 3%. December of 2020 we preg checked 280 animals and had 6 open and 6 later than we wanted. That’s a 4.2% open plus lates combined.
On top of all that, our herd is simply healthier than before too. We used to treat 6-8 calves every single day for scours and pneumonia, now we maybe treat one here and there and that’s generally with only electrolytes.
Through the whole summer and we saw a 30 lb difference in the calves compared to previously.

We just finished weaning the last of the calves and the calves that got to stay on Riomax throughout the entire sum-mer were a solid 50-60 lbs heavier than the ones who were only on Riomax until pasture turn-out. YES, Riomax shows the best results when used YEAR AROUND – We are seeing the proof!

We have improved preg rates on our young cows that we struggled with getting re-bred. Depending on the year we have seen 4-10% improvement. Have 82-87% of cows calve in 30 days.

don’t know what’s going on this year. Maybe it’s your mineral. I’ve just started and I’ve already had – only about 15 cows have calved, and I’ve had four sets of twins. I don’t know what’s going on.
