The Sliding Door Collection
Bring timeless American styling and thoughtful functionality to your barn with Lakeland’s sliding door horse stalls. These finely detailed horse stall fronts combine substantial steel construction, smooth door movement, and a classic silhouette that complements both private stables and professional equestrian facilities.
Whether you’re designing a new barn or restoring an established property, create a space that reflects your standards and supports the daily care of your horses.
Classic Horse Stall Fronts, Built for Everyday Demands
Crafted from heavy-duty 14-gauge steel, Lakeland’s horse stall fronts balance strength with an understated, refined appearance. A durable black powder-coated finish and distinctive diamond-oriented grille spindles create clean, consistent lines throughout your stable.
The frames accommodate vertically installed standard 2 × 6 lumber, allowing you to select wood that complements your barn’s interior. Wood is supplied separately.
Sliding Door Stalls with Smooth, Quiet Operation
A well-designed barn should feel effortless to work in. Each 4 ft sliding horse stall door travels along a heavy-duty steel track with aluminum trolleys and sealed bearings for smooth, quiet movement.
Because the door slides along the stall front, it opens without swinging into the aisle. This practical design preserves working space and supports an orderly routine, from morning feeding to evening checks.
Open Grilles for Airflow and Visibility
The open upper grille allows air to circulate through the stall front and gives you a clear view of your horse from the aisle. Its balanced proportions maintain an open, inviting appearance throughout the barn.
For additional flexibility, choose optional V-openings, drop-down doors, or feed swings to suit your preferred feeding and care routine. These features are available as upgrades and are not included as standard.
Custom Horse Stall Fronts to Suit Your Barn
Every stable has its own proportions and priorities. Lakeland’s reversible sliding door stalls allow left-hand or right-hand opening, helping you position access where it works best.
Choose from nominal 10 ft, 12 ft, or 14 ft stall fronts, with custom lengths available upon request. Whether you’re planning a consistent row of horse stalls or working within an existing structure, a Lakeland specialist can help you review dimensions and available configurations.

FAQ
Sliding door horse stalls maximize aisle space because they don’t swing into the walkway—ideal for barns with narrow aisles. They’re safer for both horses and handlers, easier to open while leading a horse, and reduce the risk of pinched halters or slammed doors
Lakeland’s sliding stall doors are made with heavy-duty, powder-coated steel and designed with smooth surfaces, secure locking latches, and tight bar spacing to ensure strength, safety, and durability.
We recommend a minimum width of 48″ for safe and comfortable entry for most breeds, with 52″ being our ideal standard. For height, a typical range is 7′ to 8′, with 8′ being most common for ample clearance
Yes! You can incorporate stylish and functional additions like V-yokes, drop-down yokes, removable yokes, or French yokes—allowing your horse to socialize or feed through the stall door safely.
A built-in shavings guard (also known as a kick plate) helps retain around 90% of bedding when the stall door is closed. Some horse owners also opt for a double guard or additional bedding blockers for extra containment.
Absolutely. Our sliding stall doors can be custom-sized to fit your exact barn openings and layout. You can also choose various finishes, hardware, and accents to match your barn’s style seamlessly.
Maintenance is simple. Just wipe down the doors with soap and water as needed. Periodically inspect hardware, clean the sliding track, and avoid using harsh chemicals.
Sliding doors are inherently safer than swinging doors. Lakeland builds them with reinforced powder-coated steel guides, secure latches, and designs that prevent horses from kicking out the bottom track—minimizing injury risks and keeping the door in place
Yes. Many sliding door designs include open grills or mesh options that improve airflow, enhance barn visibility, and let horses interact with the aisle while staying securely inside the stall.
Definitely. You can combine sliding doors with features like Dutch doors, custom stall front styles, or integrated feeding doors—allowing you to design a versatile and cohesive stall system tailored to your horses' needs.

I have built and used several stall companies stalls but they have never compared to the quality and service of Lakeland stalls. They called me repeatedly to make sure that I was happy and to see if I had any issues. There product is what they say it is. Their customer service is wonderful from ordering the product to receive it to the finish product. It is nice to see a company that is doing it right. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We are very pleased with the stalls. They are working out really well. I have 1 horse 17.2h who is trying out to flip the hook to open the door, he has not succeeded yet. People like the looks of the stalls, so I always tell them we’re I got them. It is also a jungle gym for the barn cats

I purchased horse stalls from Lakeland Farm and Ranch. Spencer was so easy to work with, even when I asked for a little custom work on the stalls. No matter how big or small the order is, they make sure it is what you want. Their support is great too. They always willing to figure things out or answer questions.

I would like to thank the entire team at Lakeland Farm & Ranch for all the great help with my Purchase, Shipping & Quality of our 3 Barn Stalls. The sales dept. were very helpful & they answered all of my questions & what type, size, set up, etc. Shipping was great & they had my entire load here in Southern Calif. very quick on one truck! And, some how, the driver was able to get down & up my narrow windy road. Huge truck!! My set of of my stalls was easy as the directions sheets, & able to call & speak with techs that assisted me with any questions that I had for my placement of my stalls. The are Beautiful in my barn! They are very solid, well built, made with great detail. All the part went together perfectly. I also order the wood side package along with my metal stall frames. When I cut & placed my boards, I ran a little short on boards as I didn’t order enough lumber. I called Lakeland to place another order for more lumber. I was willing to pay for my mistake & buy more lumber & have it shipped. The associate/contact sales person at Lakeland said that they as a company would add more lumber & take care of the shipping. WOW!! Incredible customer service. That is going way beyond helping out your customers in my book. We are very happy with these Beautiful Barn stalls, and they also make my barn look way cooler now that I have them set up. We get compliments all the time on the look & style of these barn stalls. My Many Thanks Lakeland Farm & Ranch.
A very happy customer.
